The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will host "2025 Now, Jeju Travel - Fall in Love with Jeju," a 10-day special travel week, from March 28 to April 6 for the spring season. The event is designed to promote travel demand and revitalize the local economy in response to the recent decline in tourists. The event plans to showcase various tourism contents along with the beautiful spring scenery of Jeju. It has prepared a program linking the filming location of Netflix drama "Fall in Love" and "2025 Year of Visit to the National Heritage." In particular, special memories and rich benefits will be provided to tourists through cultural and artistic festivals and experience programs where visitors can enjoy the spring atmosphere of Jeju, where cherry blossoms and canola flowers are in full bloom.

◆6 gifts from Jeju
For this special travel week, Jeju Island has prepared "Jeju's Gift" in six fields for tourists.
(Jeju's Gift 1) If you participate in the "Promise with Jeju" pledge at Jeju Airport as a tourist welcome event, you can receive a coveted jeon, a local currency of Jeju, through a lottery.
(Jeju's Gift 2) A "delicious Jeju travel event" will also be held to provide souvenirs by visiting two of the good price businesses (249 places) and small business owners (10 places) in the province and leaving reviews on social networking sites. (Jeju's Gift 3) A special program has also been prepared to enjoy sightseeing in Jeju's attractions. A stamp tour will be held by installing Jeju symbols (tangerines, Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins and camellia flowers) at the filming location, festival venue, and proof shot attractions. If you visit three places and certify them, you will be given a flight ticket to Jeju through a lottery.
(Jeju's Gift 4) Through the public platform 'Tamnao', you can get a 40% discount on admission fees to more than 240 tourist destinations.
(Jeju's Gift 5) In connection with the airline, it will also support special flight tickets for Jeju's base during the travel week.
(Jeju's Gift 6) We will also promote a free boarding event for the 'Jeju City Tour Bus' where you can look around every corner of Jeju.

For the successful operation of this special travel week, Jeju Island will establish a cooperative system with local tourism industry and related organizations and focus on "making a warm Jeju trip together." Through a public-private consultative body with the local tourism industry, it plans to collaborate with the Korea Airports Corporation's Jeju Airport and the Korea Tourism Organization's Jeju branch as well as the "Creating High-Cost Jeju Tourism."
In addition, it will strengthen online promotion using creators and social networking media, and create an atmosphere of events by utilizing outdoor billboards in the metropolitan area and major road banners in the province.

Kim Hee-chan, director of the Jeju Tourism Exchange Bureau, said, "We have prepared special benefits for Jeju visitors this travel week. As it is a valuable opportunity to rediscover Jeju's beauty and charm, we will do our best to revitalize the tourism industry and local economy in the province by increasing tourism demand."
Meanwhile, Jeju Island plans to operate additional special travel weeks in June, early summer, and November, the off-season for autumn tourism.

◆"The 27th Seogwipo Canola Flower International Walking Contest"

In Seogwipo, which boasts a natural scenery, you can feel the scent of canola flowers every year when spring comes around this time. When I see canola flowers spread throughout Seogwipo, I feel better and feel that spring has come without realizing it. The 27th Seogwipo Canola Flower International Walking Competition, where you can enjoy walking around Seogwipo, colored with yellow canola flowers, will be held in Seogwipo City for two days from March 22 to 23.

The canola flower international walking competition has been held as a spring walking festival that promotes peace and harmony through walking under the theme of canola flowers, azalea flowers, and acacia flowers representing each region by forming the "East Asian Flower Walking League" since Seogwipo City, Japan's Gurume City, and China's Dalian City. Therefore, delegations from Japan and China will also visit the Vladivostok Walking Association in Russia. It will be held as a global event with foreign tourists.

The walking competition will be operated in three courses of 5, 10, and 20 kilometers, respectively, for two days, and those who wish to participate but have not yet applied in advance can participate by registering on the spot. In particular, on the 11th day of the walking competition, a new fun will be added to the participants by walking and taking pictures with the local police horseback riding team from the starting point to Dumoney Water Park, and various on-the-road performances and experience programs will be operated for two days.

This coming weekend, the 27th Seogwipo Canola Flower International Walking Competition is a great opportunity for numerous tourists and citizens from inside and outside the province to walk together and enjoy Seogwipo colored with yellow canola flowers to their heart's content. I hope you will participate with your family, friends and acquaintances and make pleasant memories with the yellow wave of Seogwipo.
